"I'm really not Ethan's girlfriend, I'm just his junior," Katniss explained again.

The guy wanted to say something else, but Ethan stopped him. "Lead the way."

Seeing Ethan's displeased expression, the guy finally restrained his playful attitude and led the two of them towards the dormitory.

However, he couldn't help but occasionally ask Katniss questions.

He started with her name and then moved on to her hobbies. He was incredibly talkative.

Katniss didn't mind him and responded to him politely.

The guy introduced himself as Tyler Reynolds, Ethan's childhood friend, and said that if she ever needed help, she could come to him directly.

Katniss rarely met someone as outgoing as Tyler. If the walk to the dormitory had been longer, he probably would have asked about her entire family.

When they reached the dormitory building, Tyler greeted them and ran upstairs. When he came back down, he had three student ID cards in his hand and had changed his clothes.

He was now wearing a white shirt and black pants, looking much more refined than before.

But as soon as he opened his mouth, Tyler revealed his true nature.

He handed two of the campus cards to Ethan and said, "Let's go. Since you're here, I'll give you a proper tour of our school."

"No need," Ethan said, taking the campus cards and rejecting him without hesitation. Tyler was about to say something to Katniss, but Ethan had already grabbed her hand and walked away.

They walked quite a distance before Katniss realized Ethan was holding her hand. Before she could say anything, Ethan let go.

"My friend can be a bit noisy, don't mind him."

Ethan continued walking naturally, clearly familiar with Starhaven Medical University.

Katniss shook her head. "It's fine, he's actually quite nice."

If it weren't for Tyler, they wouldn't have been able to enter the Starhaven Medical University library. Besides, she could tell Tyler meant no harm; he was just curious.

And most of that curiosity was probably because she was with Ethan.

Once inside the library, Katniss immediately found the book she wanted. When she looked back at Ethan, she saw he had already found a seat.

He waved her over, and the seat next to him was empty, clearly saved for her.

Katniss walked over with her book and quietly thanked him. Ethan also picked up a book and started reading.

The afternoon passed quickly in the quiet library. Katniss put her phone on silent and informed Maximilian that she was in the library.

Maximilian was busy, and it took a while for her to receive his reply.

As evening approached, Ethan led Katniss out of the library.

Katniss wanted to borrow a book but decided against it since she was using someone else's student card.

Following the crowd, they walked out of the library, and Ethan asked Katniss what she wanted to eat. Before she could answer, someone suddenly rushed up to them.

"Ethan! Why didn't you tell me you were back?" A bright and beautiful girl exclaimed as she threw herself at Ethan.

Katniss looked at the girl and instinctively wanted to distance herself from Ethan to avoid any misunderstandings.

But the girl noticed her first and asked, puzzled, "Ethan, who's this?"

"She's my junior, here with me for training," Ethan said, pushing her away and frowning. "Who told you I was back? Tyler?"

He immediately thought of Tyler but then dismissed the idea as the girl replied, "No, it was Garrett. I saw Sophia, and Garrett accidentally let it slip."

Seeing Ethan frown, the girl quickly added, "But don't worry, Ethan. I didn't tell Sophia."

Ethan's frown eased a bit, and he spoke gently to the girl. "Scarlett, I'm here for training, not for anything else."

Scarlett Lewis was unhappy with this and leaned closer to Ethan. "Even if you're here for training, you can still spend time with me."

As she spoke, she glanced repeatedly at Katniss, clearly bothered by her presence.

Katniss felt uncomfortable under her gaze and handed the campus card to Ethan. "You go ahead, I'll head back to the hotel."

Ethan took the campus card and said to Katniss, "Wait for me, I'll take you back."

He then pulled Scarlett aside.

Scarlett didn't resist; instead, she clung to Ethan's arm like an accessory.

Once they were alone, Ethan said, "You should go back, and don't tell anyone else I'm here."

He hated troublesome situations and troublesome people.

He had come back to Starhaven for training, and if Brent hadn't told Garrett in

advance, Garrett wouldn't have come to pick him up.

Fortunately, when Garrett contacted him, he had asked Garrett not to tell anyone else. Garrett hadn't said anything, but Scarlett had still found out.

He didn't blame Garrett; Scarlett was always nosy, and it was normal for Garrett to be unable to keep it from her.

"Ethan, I won't tell anyone if you spend time with me," Scarlett said. Seeing Ethan frown, she added, "Don't you want to spend time with me after all this time, rather than with your junior?"

"Katniss was asked by the professor to be looked after," Ethan said seriously. "And we start training tomorrow, I don't have time."

Scarlett huffed, "Training starts tomorrow, but you can spend time with me today. Where are you going to eat? Can I join you?"

Ethan asked, "Will you leave after dinner?"

"I'll leave after dinner, but I want to have dinner alone with you," Scarlett insisted.

She was really uneasy about Ethan spending time with Katniss, this unknown woman.

"No, Katniss has to come too," Ethan rejected. "Or you can eat alone."

Scarlett wanted to argue but eventually gave in.

"Fine, since she's your junior, we'll bring her along."

Ethan finally led her back to Katniss.

Introducing Scarlett properly, Ethan simply described her as the neighbor's little sister.
