The defensive barrier rumbled as it absorbed the black miasma that surged out of the swords, and the power of light radiated out of the holes the swords left as it mended them

Within just a little over ten seconds, the defensive barrier had grown several times more powerful. It was undamaged even after the last sword disappeared, and the holes left by the swords were fully mended too.

"A defensive barrier of the power of the light," said the Dark Lord. "Ha! Even the Child of Light wouldn't be any match for me if he were to show up right now, let alone a nobody like you from a lower dimension."

The Dark Lord muttered a spell, and a powerful wave of black miasma took shape above Wilbur's head in the form of a huge sword as the Dark Lord shouted, "Your defensive barrier won't be able to take a single attack from my sword no matter how powerful it is!"

The defensive barrier exploded the next second, and the Dark Lord's sword came striking out toward Wilbur's chest.

"You're asking for death!"

Wilbur's eyes were bloodshot as he gritted his teeth, countering with a blow of his own. A golden dragon appeared at once, wrapping itself around the enormous sword. The power from the dragon aura held the sword in place, stopping it from moving closer.

Following that, a rumble rang through the air as both the golden dragon and the black sword dissolved, vanishing into thin air. A powerful wave of energy spread out, causing the black miasma spinning around Wilbur to be knocked askew.

The Dark Lord's gaze was razor-sharp as he shouted, "You've been tricked, Wilbur Penn!"

The next second, an enormous vortex of black miasma came hurtling over. Both aura storms swept Wilbur into themselves, tearing at Wilbur's clothes and skin like tiny blades. Within the blink of an eye, all the clothes on Wilbur's body were shredded and ripped off him.

Wilbur did his best to control his dragon aura amid the storms. He managed to summon a golden dragon, but it was quickly torn apart by the rampant storms.noveldrama

The winds blew on relentlessly as Wilbur threw out several punches with his fists. Five golden dragons appeared around Wilbur, but they were also reduced to dust by the storms.

All of a sudden, Wilbur thought of the lesson on what darkness truly meant that he had been taught by his master Orkus. The power of light disappeared from his body the next second, and he began to absorb the dark aura.

The Dark Lord saw this from where he was suspended mid-air and let out a loud laugh. "Do you see that, Child of Light? Your dearest chosen one has abandoned the power of light and is absorbing dark energy instead. That's what you get for trusting the universe! No one is going to stop me from becoming an evil god now! The Earth shall be mine, and everyone on this planet shall become my slaves. I will make sure they spend every day in pain and misery so that they can contribute more dark energy to me! I shall take over more and more dimensions after that and get even more contributions!"

As his voice echoed through the air, the Dark Lord suddenly felt a strange wave of energy. The smile on his face froze as he looked down. Wilbur had used his understanding of darkness to create a dark dimension in the shape of a cube. Any black miasma that touched the cube dimension would freeze at once. Wilbur sat in the middle of the dimension, his eyes closed as he meditated as if he was waiting for something.
