Wilbur smirked.

"The way I see it, eight evil gods are more than enough. Maybe more evil gods will fall in a few centuries, but you becoming one is not part of my plan. I won't let you succeed because of that."

"You!"

The Dark Lord glowered at Wilbur. "We could join forces once I become an evil god! You're losing a worthy teammate if you stop me, which doesn't do you any good! Once you help me become an evil god, all nine of the evil gods could work together to usurp all the lower dimensions. Once the last shred of light disappears, all the lower dimensions will become part of the chaos realm. All the cultivators and people of these dimensions would become our servants."

Wilbur nodded. "That's not a bad plan. I'm willing to help you out- but on one condition."

"What is it? Tell me, please! I'll agree to a hundred conditions as long as it's within my capability."

"Let me take over your body. I want to fuse with you, so both you and I can become an evil god. How's that?"

"What? You want to take control of my body? Are you trying to humiliate me?" The Dark Lord spat, enraged.

The Dark Lord wanted to be a slave to no one, and was willing to turn to evil sorcery to achieve that. He was now so close to becoming an evil god, but now this other evil god was demanding to make a servant out of him.

Wilbur smirked. "Oh, I'm not trying to humiliate you. It's quite the opposite, actually. I do really want to work with you, and I think we could be a better evil god together."noveldrama

The Dark Lord's expression turned ashen. "In your dreams. I'd rather give up on becoming an evil god than serve someone else. Besides, you only have a fifth of the dark energy in you. You're no match for me, and the dark energy in your body will be released as soon as I kill you. I'll be able to claim it then and become the ninth evil god."

"You sure are confident."

"Hmph."

The Dark Lord stared Wilbur up and down. "You might have been an evil god before, but your soul is now wasted on the body of a useless, lowly cultivator. Don't you find it a little funny, thinking you can defeat me in this state?"

"Don't you want to know which evil god I am?" asked Wilbur.

The Dark Lord's eye twitched, and he lashed out all of a sudden. "Go to hell, you bastard!"

He reached out with his right arm, stretching it over a dozen meters to grab Wilbur's neck.

Just then, Wilbur's body exploded into a cloud of black miasma. The Dark Lord was dumbfounded and only realized that Wilbur was standing a few meters away after a while.

"You're f*cking dead!"

The Dark Lord reached out with both hands, clawing and swiping at Wilbur. Wilbur continued to dart left and right, and some of his puppets were grabbed by the Dark Lord before exploding into black miasma.

This only angered the Dark Lord further, and he withdrew his hands abruptly before vanishing out of sight. He appeared behind Wilbur the next second, raising a hand to press down on his head.
