Chapter 1355

Chapter 1355:

As Norah caressed the piano, a rush of memories from her days of amnesia swept over her. Those were simpler times, with Amy by her side. But now, everything had changed. Amy was gone forever.

“I can play the piano, but my skills are no match for a master like you, Kayla,” Norah admitted.

She had looked into Kayla’s background. The awards and accolades Kayla had earned were something only truly gifted pianists could achieve.

Norah, on the other hand, was just a beginner in the world of piano, having gained a bit of international recognition through her own self-taught efforts.

“Norah, don’t downplay your skills. I was at the Bellfolk Piano Competition, and your performance was excellent. You just needed a bit more emotion,” Kayla assured her.

With that, she took a seat at the piano, opened the lid, placed her hands on the keys, and tested the sound. Soon, her fingers glided across the keys, producing a string of notes.

She was playing Mozart’s Piano Sonata in G Major.

The melody was enchanting, and both Norah and Susanna became lost in the music. It was only when the piece came to an end that they opened their eyes.

“Kayla, that was incredible. Your playing was completely mesmerizing,” Norah beamed.

“I can only play like that in private. On stage, I always make mistakes,” Kayla sighed.

Her hands trembled slightly. It was the result of her psychological trauma. No matter how many specialists she consulted, nothing helped.

She had been forced to say a tearful goodbye to her piano career. If that accident hadn’t happened, her name would have been counted among the great pianists in the international world.noveldrama

But Nancy had destroyed her dream. Now, Kayla no longer aspired for fame. All she wanted was to spend time with her family and play the piano occasionally for peace of mind. That was enough for her. The glory and limelight of the stage were things she’d never be a part of again.

“Norah, why don’t you play something too? I’d love to hear you,” Kayla suggested.

Susanna nodded. “Yes, Norah. I want to hear it too.”

Norah didn’t hesitate to take the seat Kayla had vacated. After flexing her fingers, she pressed down on the piano keys.

Familiar notes flowed from the piano, enveloping them in the music’s narrative.

The hauntingly beautiful melody of the piano piece held them spellbound.

As the piece concluded, Kayla opened her eyes, tears glistening at the corners. “That was beautifully played.”

Susanna dabbed at her reddened eyes. “I’ve heard this piece countless times and have played it myself, but Norah brings something different to it. It’s truly wonderful.”

“An excellent piece always resonates with the audience. I simply performed it. Kayla, you mentioned feeling nervous on stage. Could you tell me more? Perhaps I can assist,” Norah smiled.
