No longer a pushover (Noelle and Cedric)

Noelle stood up and took off her boxing gloves. "If anyone's giving you a hard time because of me. Just tell me, okay?"

Cedric unexpectedly felt protected by someone. He took her gloves and smiled. "Alright, I'll ask you for help if I have to."

Noelle finally headed to the changing room to change her clothes. Cedric looked at her red boxing gloves and lowered his head to kiss them. His expression became twisted from a mix of emotions.

He was afraid of saying it out loud. He was afraid of her looking at him with hatred in her eyes. And so, he could not do it.

When Noelle came out from the changing room, she saw that Cedric was no longer waiting for her at their usual spot.

As she was about to take out her phone to give him a call, she saw that he had left her a message. "Something just came up at the company, so I had to leave right away. I left some stuff at the front desk for you."

So, he had already left.

Noelle headed to the front desk and saw a bag containing a large box of sushi. Although she did not have much of an appetite, she could still enjoy some sushi.

She lowered her head and sent a reply to Cedric. "I picked up the food. Don't overwork yourself, okay?"

On her way back to university, Noelle wondered if Cedric was working overtime because of the Al project. When she arrived back at her dorm, she overheard Grace's anxious voice.

"Are you okay, Micah? Do you need to go to the hospital?"

Noelle saw Micah collapsing to the floor, so she rushed forward to catch and support her. Grace's physique was too small to support Micah alone.

Micah's face was deathly pale, and her body was shivering. "I don't need to go to the hospital. I just haven't eaten anything."

Noelle handed the box of sushi to Grace and said, "Hold this for me. I'll carry her to the infirmary."

"I'm coming with you!" Grace ran alongside Noelle as they headed straight to the infirmary.noveldrama

Noelle ran all the way to the infirmary and placed Micah down on a bed before she urgently explained the situation. "Doctor! She suddenly fainted! She said that she hadn't been eating properly. Could it be because of low blood sugar?"

The doctor examined Micah for a while and explained, "If Micah doesn't have any other pre-existing medical conditions, then it's most likely hypoglycemia, which is what you know as low blood sugar. She's also slightly malnourished."

Noelle let out a breath of relief as she realized that it was not something too serious.

She looked at Micah lying on the infirmary bed and asked, "What would you like to eat, Micah? I'll order some takeout for you."

Micah's voice was soft. "There's no need for that; thank you."

But right after she finished speaking, her stomach let out a loud growl.

Noelle took the box of sushi from Grace and said, "Let's just eat together. There's plenty to share anyway."

She was initially not very hungry, but running around had really made her hungry.

"Really? I didn't really check on the brand," Noelle replied before taking a piece of sushi and placing it into her mouth. She soon realized that it was indeed delicious.

She handed one piece to Micah and said, "No need to be embarrassed, Micah. I

can't finish all of it anyway. Help me out!"

A piece of sushi was now placed on Micah's hand. She glanced at it and whispered, "Thanks, you two."

Grace smiled and replied, "There's no need to thank us, Micah. We're roommates, so we should look after one another!"

Micah lowered her head and ate the sushi in small bites.

Noelle and Grace looked at each other. They did not ask Micah why she had not

been eating and just acted like everything was normal.

They stayed with Micah while she received a glucose drip.

Grace then asked Noelle. "Can you get back the inheritance your parents left for you?"

"I'd have to go to court for it. It won't be easy, considering there's no written will," Noelle replied.

Grace was furious on Noelle's

behalf. "Donovan sure is awful! He just gave all your stuff to Xenia and

even forced you to give in to her, even though you were the one who got beaten up!"

Noelle tried to brush it off casually. "I know, but I already have a plan anyway. I

won't let Xenia take what's rightfully mine."

"Is there something we don't know going on between Donovan and Xenia

anyway? Why is he so biased toward her?" Grace asked.

When Micah heard that, her eyes seemed to be lost in thought.
