Reborn From Oblivion

Chapter 876

Nathalie walked back into the salon, feeling a bit lost, only to be surprised by the scene before her. The women, who earlier wore airs of superiority, were now practically doting on Morris. Some were bringing him coffee, others cracking jokes to make him laugh, and a few even offering him snacks.

Morris, however, seemed completely disinterested, like he'd rather be anywhere else.

Spotting Nathalie, his eyes lit up. "Nathalie, can I get out of here now?"

Before she could answer, the women chimed in, "Nathalie, we had no idea your brother was such a tech whiz! Let him stay and share some of his knowledge with us."

Nathalie made her way to Morris, sitting beside him, curiosity piqued. "What did you do to them? These girls usually act like they're too good for anyone. Why are they suddenly acting like your personal entourage?"

Morris leaned in and whispered, "I just showed them a simple magic trick. Nothing fancy."

Nathalie's eyes sparkled with interest. "What kind of trick? Can you show me later?"

Morris nodded, "Sure thing."

Sensing it was time to wrap up, Nathalie figured Morris had likely memorized everything about these women with his sharp mind. She turned to Lizzy, "Lizzy, can you take Morris home, please?"

She then addressed the ladies, "My brother's not feeling his best and needs some rest. Sorry, but we'll have to end it here for today."

The women, realizing the party had fizzled out, started leaving one by one.

The salon was left in disarray.

Nathalie surveyed the mess and let out a sigh.

Lincoln shuffled out, hunched over with a broom in one hand and a dustpan in the other, teasing, "Vivian, your friends are quite the catch. Any one of them would be a good match for Nathan."

"Why invite so many? It felt like a royal selection. Be careful Nathan doesn't get overwhelmed."

Nathalie glanced at her father, remembering Nathan's words about him being the real hurdle in her love life. She decided to test the waters.

"Dad, Nathan's quite the package-handsome, smart, kind. Plenty of these women are interested in him. I'll find the perfect match for him. But your daughter, divorced, had a miscarriage, missing a kidney-not exactly a great resume..."

Lincoln protested, "That's nonsense! If Nathan can find someone, so can my girl."noveldrama

Nathalie sighed deeply, "I really don't know where your blind confidence comes from."

After tidying up, Nathalie headed upstairs to rest, leaving Lincoln sitting alone on the sofa, lost in thought.

Nathalie's lack of confidence weighed heavily on him.

Morris wheeled himself downstairs, parking next to Lincoln.

Lincoln looked at him, "Nathan, is there something you want to tell me?" Morris nodded.

After a pause he spoke, "I know you love Nathalie, but you're going about it the wrong way. By keeping men away, you're crushing her already fragile self-esteem. She thinks no one's interested because she's not good enough."

Lincoln, seething, grabbed the ashtray, ready to hurl it at Morris, but restrained himself.

"Morris, don't pretend to be all noble. You know who my daughter loves. You're smart enough to see she's crazy about you. Not loving her back and trying to pair her with someone else is just cruel, don't you think?"
