He tried to focus his eyes, barely making out her face. “Elizabeth?"

"Yes, it's me." Elizabeth nodded. “I'm dining here tonight as well, Mr. Ellison."

She smiled at the others nearby. “I'll take care of Mr. Ellison. No need for anyone else to see him off. I've got him covered.”

David wanted to say something, but in an instant, his head grew heavier. Unable to control himself, he leaned against Elizabeth. His forehead rested against her shoulder.

Seeing this, the others understood immediately.

With a beautiful woman at his side, there was no need for them.

And so, David fell into Elizabeth's hands.

By the time David lifted his head, he had already left the restaurant and entered the hotel lobby.

At this point, he could no longer stand on his own, only able to lean on Elizabeth. His body was burning, and his throat felt dry as if it were on fire.
