Sweet Mischief’s Rollercoaster Romance

Chapter 1364

Mia crossed her arms and said, “Babe, you never keep your promises. You always go back on your word."

Andre glanced at his wife, realizing she'd lured him right into her trap. Every time he got riled up and she made him say, "I love you too," it was impossible to stay mad.noveldrama

"Why don't you spell out what you mean?" he asked.

Mia pouted, stubborn as ever. "There's nothing to explain. When you signed up for that competition, did you ask your wife first? No? So why should I have to get your blessing? Marriage is supposed to be about respect, you know."

Andre replied, "I didn't have a wife then."

"Well, you do now."

Andre let out a long sigh. "That's why I haven't been back to The Silent Ring."

Mia raised an eyebrow. "Please. You've got a Black Pass now. No wonder you don't need to show up."

He tried to keep his tone level. "Anyone with a Black Pass still gets missions. But for our family? I haven't taken a single one."

Mia's eyes sparkled with curiosity. "So why do you get to run wild at The Silent Ring anyway?"

Andre shot her a look. "We're talking about you, not me."

She turned away in a huff, looking just like their troublemaker son. "If you're so tough, why don't you just quit The Silent Ring? If you can't, don't try to tell me what to do."

Andre gritted his teeth. Could he even quit? If he left, The Silent Ring would probably fall apart.

"Can't you find a new hobby?" he asked.

Mia shook her head, grinning like she knew she was winning.

He put his hands on his hips. "Fine. Take my Black Pass."

She scrunched up her nose. "I'm not about to cheat just because my husband can pull a few strings. People would talk. No, thanks."

Andre shot back, "Now you're all about principles? What happened to threatening me to write your thesis for you?"

Mia gave a little shrug. "Guess your lectures finally sank in. Now I'm all about playing fair."

Andre was quiet for a moment. Honestly, maybe he'd overdone it with the honesty lessons.

Just as their argument started heating up, their little superhero came knocking. "Daddy, open up!"

Andre turned and opened the bedroom door, looking down at his chubby-cheeked little boy. "What's up, little troublemaker?"

Henry wiggled and grinned. "I forgot~"

Andre shook his head and walked off, leaving his goofy son behind.

Mia gave Henry a look and whispered, "Go on, follow your dad."

Henry's little legs pumped as he chased after his father.

Andre made his way to his study and was about to shut the door when he felt a

small bump. He looked down and saw his little shadow squeezing in.

He let his "Sweetie" in and closed the door, letting his son mess around while he grabbed his phone and called his assistant. "Hey, who told you to tip off my wife about The Silent Ring competition?"

Noah sounded panicked. "Boss, I swear, it wasn't me!"

Andre's voice went cold. "She's already swinging dumbbells around the living room, and you want me to believe no one told her? Find out who did and tell them to get ready fora punishment."

He hung up, chest burning with frustration, and tossed his phone onto the desk. His gaze landed on Henry, who was sitting on the couch, bottle of milk in hand, looking as sweet as could be.

"Henry, how come you're not up to any mischief today? Sitting there all nice- what's going on?"

Henry held up his little bottle. "Daddy, want some?"

Andre shook his head. "No thanks, buddy. You drink it."

He was about to sit down when he spotted a fresh, tiny shoe print on the chair-

no mistaking who'd left it. "Henry, did you climb on my chair again with your shoes

on?"

Henry just quietly sipped his milk,

while Andre wiped down the chair before finally sitting. "At home, you're always stomping on my chair. When we visit Grandpa, you're climbing everywhere. One day, kiddo, one day..."
