The Billionaire's Forbidden Longing

Chapter 257 Really Pregnant

Victor's words made everyone go pale, especially Alexander and Jessa.

"Allison, Liliana's been in poor health since she was a kid. When she had Mia, it was a tough labor with a lot of bleeding. The doctor said she shouldn't have any more kids," Alexander quickly explained.

Allison immediately sent the medical report to Victor. "Victor, I took a picture of the report for you. It's legit. Liliana's health isn't as bad as you think. Plus, I've given her UteralCare Plus, and she's doing much better than expected!"

Victor was silent on the other end. If Liliana was pregnant, he'd be thrilled, but the thought of risking her life made his heart ache. "Allison, I can't take that risk!"

It was clear Victor truly cared for Liliana and valued her deeply.

Allison said, "Victor, you know I never lie about medical stuff."

"Allison, thank you!" Victor was so emotional he cried. Allison had sent him the report directly, and with it, Victor finally felt some relief.

He immediately booked a flight to Suncrest City, leaving his work behind. Nothing was more important than Liliana right now.

After boarding the plane, he called the school principal to request leave. The principal was about to lose it. "Mr. Wilson, there's a very important academic conference today. You can't just leave like this. What about here?"

"My wife is sick. I have to see her. I only have one wife. If something happens to her, how can I go on living? Academic conferences can happen anytime, but I can't be without my wife!" Victor kept talking about his wife, driving the principal nuts.

Victor didn't care and hung up the phone, heading straight to the airport. No one could stop him.

Liliana was stunned when she found out she was pregnant. "Am I really pregnant, Allison?"

Allison nodded and smiled as she poured her a glass of water. "Drink some water. I added a bit of glucose. You've been feeling carsick, and with morning sickness, eating must be tough. I'll have someone bring you some nutritional supplements. They're non-irritating and can help with morning sickness and boost your immunity after a week."

This medication, developed by Joe, was specifically for patients in recovery to quickly enhance their physical condition.

Allison mentioned this to Alexander, who had already arranged for someone to the hospital to find Henry.

Jessa stayed with Liliana, genuinely happy for her. "You are so lucky to have met Allison. You should thank her properly!"

Liliana nodded, still in disbelief that she was pregnant, especially at her age. When Victor arrived, they hugged and cried, making Jessa tear up.

Jessa said, "Liliana has had such a hard time over the years. The Wilson family has given her a lot of trouble because of the child! Fortunately, Tracy passed away, and Brian didn't make things difficult for her. But then she had to deal with Laura, who caused trouble at home and tried to find women to have children with Victor!"

Liliana had only confided in Jessa about these things. Alexander didn't know, so he looked at Allison. "Did you know about this?"Allison looked guilty and nodded. "There are a ton of stories about Victor at Stellar University. I've heard a lot of female students still want to be with him, and many of them were pushed by Laura. I looked into it, and it all traces back to her!" Alexander was fuming. When he got back to Skycrest, he planned to have a serious talk with the Wilson family. They couldn't keep pushing the Carter family around like this.

Landon and Sabrina arrived, worried about Liliana and afraid something might happen to her.noveldrama

When they learned Liliana was pregnant, Sabrina was genuinely happy for her. "Liliana, you're amazing, just like my mom!"

Liliana pinched Sabrina's cheek, liking her a lot. "How old was your mom when she had you?"

Sabrina said, "Forty-three. My mom said I was an angel sent from heaven, and your baby must be too!"

Liliana smiled, genuinely happy. But they were there for Ralph's Apprenticeship Ceremony, and she felt a bit guilty for delaying their plans. "Don't worry about me. Go do what you need to do. The Apprenticeship Ceremony is soon. Sabrina, go with Landon. Allison and Alexander, you too!"

Allison and Alexander stood together, smiling. "Don't worry, Liliana. We'll leave soon. The ceremony is in the afternoon, so we have time!"

Everyone stayed with Liliana, watching her eat lunch and fall asleep. They hadn't told the elders about the pregnancy yet, as it was still early.

Allison said, "Victor, Liliana is asleep. Don't worry!"

Victor nodded, feeling reassured after seeing the medical report.

Leaving the hospital, Allison sighed, "Liliana and Victor are so in love. I'm envious!" Alexander heard this and hugged Allison. "Envious of others? Aren't we in love too?"

Allison thought for a moment and then laughed. Alexander picked her up, carried her out of the hospital, and got into the car. James came over from the driver's seat. "Mr. Carter, the Grey family is following us!"

Hearing about the Grey family, Alexander and Allison's expressions changed. Allison quickly took out her laptop and started a facial recognition search. Soon, results came up.

There were images from the airport, road surveillance, and the hospital.

Alexander's face darkened. James called Landon to inform him of the situation. The quickest way to figure this out was to leave it to Landon.

Declan was also on his way. Alexander called him directly. "What is Mason up to?" Declan was momentarily stunned. "Recently, the Grey Group's assets were transferred abroad, but they just took on a new project and received funding. I was going to tell you, the Grey family's funds are coming from abroad!"

One sentence made Alexander understand. The Grey family had been bought by an overseas consortium. But which one? They needed to investigate. Fortunately, Carl was also in Suncrest City, so Alexander handed the matter over to him.

Shortly after sending the information, Carl called. "Regal Crest Hotel, presidential suite. Come up!"

Carl's tone was commanding, which annoyed Alexander. "Allison hasn't eaten yet. I need to take her to eat. Either talk or shut up!"

Carl stood on the 48th floor, looking out the floor-to-ceiling windows, and laughed at Alexander's words. "Alexander, don't forget, you're the one asking for my help!"

With that, Carl hung up.
