Janice argued with herself in her mind but eventually made up her mind.

Before she could strode up, however, Zark shouted, "You call yourself a man, but you're bullying a woman?! Kill me if you can!"

Zark was not actually waiting for Janice to decide anyway-he was just so terribly hurt that he could not talk.

But now, he could as he healed a little.

Sure, he had just met Janice, but he would not let something so terrible happen to her.

In fact, she was virtuous and a friend of Frank's. That meant he would not risk her life, and Frank was worth sacrificing his life for!

Still, the undertaker frowned. "Don't you fear death?"

Such selflessness was only possible in fiction-every martial elite he had fought before had begged through tears when they realized death had come for them.

Presuming that such people did not exist, the undertaker therefore did not expect to see one!

Nodding, he said, "I'll be honest I like men like you. I'll refrain from getting the girl involved for your sake... but only if you kill yourself as I watch.

"I won't lie—I'm really keen to see if you really don't fear death. You see, there's a huge difference between being killed and suicide. The latter can really bare the soul."

"No!" Janice exclaimed. "This isn't a part of the deal! You-"

The undertaker silenced her with just a stare just as Zark got out of the wall, dragging his battered body as he growled, "Then I'll show you! I don't care who you were up against before... Understand that I'm not them!"

He aimed his hand just over his heart, but before he did anything else, someone snapped in fury behind him, "You're right. That's why I'm especially curious about how much fear you'd show in the face of death, when you regard your foes with such disdain!"

The undertaker turned in shock to see that it was none other than Frank standing there, having finished cooking the medicine for Faust.

Zark sighed in relief-thank goodness the undertaker talked too much as villains always did, and he bought enough time for Frank to return, or he would really be killed!

On the other hand, Janice was worried for Frank.

After all, the undertaker was formidable... At the very least, he wielded

otherworldly techniques like Frank.

It was such a new, remarkable experience for Janice that she was really worried Frank would screw this up.

The undertaker appeared visibly excited. "So, you're Lugh Frankton, the chief of Mystic Sky Guild? Finally showing up, I see... And here

thought you'd be fleeing after

hearing that I'm coming for you."

Frank simply smirked. "Calm down. Don't you have to pay damages to the hospital for your vandalism?"

The undertaker was left confused, just like Janice and Zark.

They had no idea why he said something with such poor timing!

However, the undertaker was smarter and quickly caught on. "So you're saying you'd definitely win and could kill me in an instant? And you wouldn't find out where I'm from if I'm dead?"
