One by one, the formulas were all introduced, and they soon piled onto the table like a little hill.

Richard and the other executives from Silvaris Pharmaceuticals were all too stunned to speak. They had gone to lengths to retrieve all of their formulas but to no avail.

Yet, Matthew had not only brought back their own formulas but also retrieved all of the formulas from other pharmaceutical factories located in Lambda City.

A man in his mid-50s checked the formulas one by one, and he became even more excited the more he looked.

"God! All of these are valuable treasures-they're priceless formulas that are hard to come by, but you brought them all back!

"I believe that with these formulas, Silvaris Pharmaceuticals would no doubt be able to make a comeback."

All of the other executives from Silvaris Pharmaceuticals were equally excited and said, "We can make use of the best medicinal formulas from other pharmaceutical factories and manufacture it to make it our own.

"Then, Silvaris Pharmaceuticals would be restored of its prestige and honor!"

Once Richard took note of the situation, he stood out and said, "Ms. Carter, since the formulas are all retrieved, you can leave things to me at Silveris Pharmaceuticals. I can give you my word that our production will be restored within seven days."

But Rachel smiled and said, "Mr. Henderson, I don't think it'll be suitable to assign such a heavy workload to you. After all, you're getting older. I'll sort out the job arrangements, so just wait for my instructions."

She had conducted a background check on Silvaris Pharmaceuticals and found that among 500 employees, 200 of them were executives who worked in the office. That would mean that an average of two and a half factory employees supported and fed each executive.

The main issue was that the executives had a higher salary, and the salary meant for 500 factory employees was the same as the salary meant for 200 executives.

Not to mention the extra income executives would earn from inflating the prices of their purchases and using fake meal receipts from their friends and families to get reimbursed.

All of them were trying to take advantage of the situation to earn more, and their unconventional methods of trying to sell everything and anything were only making al loss for the company. There was no way Rachel would want to employ these executives.

Richard sighed upon hearing her response and said, "Ms. Carter, you might not know how Silvaris Pharmaceuticals works because you're still new to the industry,

"So, you won't be able to control them if you were to switch me out for someone else, because I have higher authority. Besides, you can't afford to offend any of them, and if you do, you would be causing trouble for Silvaris Pharmaceuticals!"

Immediately, Rachel's smile disappeared, and her icy expression resurfaced even more bitingly than before. "I only respected you because you're older than me, Mr. Henderson.

"I know that all of you come from a state-running organization, so you rely on the government. But this is my private factory, and I won't employ idle people. So, whoever it is that slacks off, you can prepare to get fired!"

When Richard saw how strong Rachel came off, he said sarcastically, "Then I'll bring my men away. I'll apply for leave from tomorrow onward and handle the handover procedure to halt production.

"It's your factory anyway, so I don't care if it stops production for a few days, months, or even years!"

As soon as he finished speaking, the other executives from Silvaris Pharmaceuticals stood up together and walked toward Richard.

Rachel had never thought that Richard would make a fuss over the handover procedures and anxiously called out after him, "Don't leave yet, Mr. Henderson! We can discuss further on this."

However, Richard scoffed coldly and said, "No, thank you! I'm rushing home to play Blackjack, so I've got no time to waste with you."

At that, Richard purposely waved at Rachel with a victorious smile-the more anxious Rachel got, the calmer Richard was.

Once he reached the door, Matthew burst out yelling, "Stand there, Richard!"

Seeing how Matthew was calling for him, Richard let out a disdained smile and fished out a cigarette. After he had placed it between his lips, he lit it up.

Then, he took a drag and asked Matthew mockingly, "Why are you yelling? Do you even dare to mess with me? You must have lived a good life, huh? I'm telling you your whole family would have to suffer if I were to just say the word!"
