The Rebirth of the Betrayed Alpha

Without having to lift her eyes, Alexandra could put a name to that voice. She had thought she would never again until the ceremony was over but Bernard had plans and wouldn't miss the opportunity to spite her.

"Father" she whispers and he smiles.

"In flesh"

"You look different" she sits upright

"How different?"

"Old, haggard"

Bernard scoffs, he knows what she's doing.

"Like your mother"

Alexandra glares.

"Was it how she looked before her poor soul left this world"

"My mother died young and attractive but you would leave this world all wrinkled

and haggard"

Bernard chuckles. "Is that what they told you?"

"No one needs to tell me anything when is written all over your face"

"You know for someone who's about to lose and make a fool of herself, you surely know how to run your mouth"

"Is that what they told you? Did you see that I will lose?"

Bernard smirks. "No one needs to tell me anything when failure is washed across your face"

"Really? Are you a telepath now who can read minds?"

"You're scared, Alexandra"

Alexandra stands up, she was scared since she was going to fight Adam without her wolf but is is is no way she would let Bernard find out.

"What makes you think I'm scared".

"I can see right through you"

"You can see right through yourself and not me that's why you already know your weakness"

"Which is?"

"Fear"

Trying to form the right words, Bernard scoffs.

"Even in the middle of your humiliation, you still choose to be arrogant"

"I learned from your father"

"I'm nothing like you"

"You are worse"

"What would you know?"

"A lot about you like for starters I can smell your fear"

"Stop saying nonsense, what fear?"

"Fear of leaving that seat, I told you to remember that you would have to vacate that seat when I'm ready and today's the day"

Bernard chuckles. "Do you think you will be the one occupying this seat? Leading the pack"

"Who else? Don't tell is Adam you are supporting"

"And so? He's more capable than you will ever be"

"Really? Well, let's see who gets to become Alpha then. Is it Adam Hawthorn?"

"You will lose in a glance"

"Should we bet on that?"

"Bet?".

"Yes, why don't we bet with our lives" Alexandra smiles sinisterly

"You're insane"

"Call it whatever you want"

"I will do no such thing"

"Coward"

"Me? A coward"

"I am ready to end my life if I lose but what about you, are you ready to end your

life if Adam loses? I dare you to"

"You are completely insane, why would I bet my life on something like that"

"Good a thing you are vacating that position"

"You must be thrilled"

"I am because You are not worthy of being called an Alpha, you are ce" "Alexandra!" He glared

"What! Take on the bet and prove once and for all that you got that position on merit"

"Alpha is known to be daring and they don't back down from a fight but you act like an Omega, are you perhaps those runaway werewolves?"

"You are crazy"

"Maybe, maybe not"

"You will never win this fight"

"Do you think Adam will defeat me?"

"Defeat?" Bernard scoffs "He will crush you, nothing about you would be buried aside your clothes"

"You sound so confident, it makes me wonder why"

"You made a mistake when you went against me and dared to participate in this election"noveldrama

"Do you think I'm scared of you? Do you think you can touch a hair on my hair?" "The arrogance"

"You taught me so well and I'm glad, you just have to sit and watch who wins and who loses, such a shame we couldn't make that bet otherwise I would have watched you burn"

"You talk a lot let's see how well you can keep up once the fight begins"

"You underestimate me"

"You already underestimated yourself when you choose to take part in the ceremony after my warning"

"What warning? You were threatening me"

"What's the difference?"

"A lot but you wouldn't know that which leads me to think, how will the pack members look at you once they find out what sort of man you are"

"What do you mean?"

"What will they say when they will find out how much of a terrible leader you have been"

"I have a lot for this pack more than you have lived on earth"

"Have you? Because even your precious Adams seems to think otherwise"

"Do you know what he said to me?"

"Shut your mouth"

"He called you a terrible leader and said your teaching was ancient and useless to

the pack"

"Adam will never do something like that so shut your mouth"

"Really? Should we make a bet?"

"Looks like you've joined a gambling site, is that what you want to teach the

pack?"

"If it generates a lot of money then yes, I'm two-faced like you"

"Look who's talking"

"Back out from this fight before you humiliate me and tarnish my name"

"You already humiliated yourself when you became Alpha Dad, you just didn't see

it since no one had the gut to say it to your face"

Bernard clenches his jaw, enraged, no one has dared said those words to him.

"How dare you talk to your Alpha in such a boorish manner?"

"My Alpha" Alexandra chuckles "Are you still one? Can you be addressed as one?

In case you have not realized it. This is the end of the road for you, your time ends today so get off your high horse and begin the fight while you still have breath in you, Bernard Guerrero"

Without waiting for him to say another word, she walks out the door, riled up, ready to show everyone what she's truly capable of.

Walking into the crowded room, Alexandra stares at the other werewolves who were going to fight with her, Catching a glimpse of Adam staring intently at her, Alexandra smiles, aware she had to put up the act till the end.

The werewolves in the room looked strong and big but Alexandra was stronger and thus wasn't scared of any of them. There was no way they would beat her but trailing her eyes back to Adam, a lot of things runs through her mind. It was impossible to beat Adam no matter how she looked at it, if she chooses to fight him without her wolf, she would only make a fool of herself and Alexandra didn't want that, not after she had challenged Olivia and Bernard.

If she loses to Adam, she will never hear the end of it, they will call her a weakling and remind her of her failure each day and the pack members would talk about her even further. It will be impossible to defeat Olivia and Adams and get her

revenge.

Glancing around the room, she observes her opponents, trying to learn their moves and weakness, swear forms on her forehead and Alexandra exhales, despite the fact she was confused, showing weakness in front of everyone who was not in the picture, especially with Nathaniel watching, staring at her. His heart beats faster every second that passes, he sees Bernard walk into the room and seats down, averts his eyes towards Alexandra but she doesn't see it.

Ever since she walked in, she hasn't taken a glance at him while he had fixated his eyes on her ignoring the eyes of some of Guerrero pack members whispering

to each other, wishing for him to notice them but Nathaniel had eyes just for Alexandra.

"Come on Alexandra, you can do this"

As if hearing his thought, Alexandra looks towards him, seeing him sitting in the

front row, they lock eyes together and he smiles at her, waving for her to believe

in herself

"I trust you" He mutters and Alexandra couldn't help but smile, feeling the same immense power she had felt earlier while they were together, her heart begins to beat faster.

"Oh Nathaniel" she waves back, averting her eyes locks eyes with Olivia, she smirks and Alexandra frowns, dropping her gaze locks eyes with Adam. The bell rings and Nathaniel realizes the fight has begun.

He stands up, watching Alexandra as she dodges some blows from some werewolves, jumping and moving with speed, she strikes a few blows against some wolves, knocking them down and making them submit, thereby disqualifying them and they left the ring. The fight goes on and on and before Nathaniel could realize it, they were just a w people standing in the ring. "Come on you can do it, Alexandra"

Gawking at her, he could tell she was famished at the werewolves she had fought were no match compared to her. Dropping his gaze, he locks eyes with Adam and Adam smirks at him. Nathaniel's heart raced, he knew Alexandra was a strong Alpha but he didn't know if she could beat Adam, of course, Adam was no match for him but Alexandra was so delicate and Nathaniel was scared that he might hurt her.

Dropping his gaze Nathaniel trails his eyes toward Alexandra, she stares at him with a lot of emotions running through her eyes and he winks at her causing Alexandra to roll her eyes. She couldn't believe he would still want to make her smile in the heat of tension.

"Are you okay?" He thinks to himself, and Alexandra looks at him as if she read his mind.

"Yes I'm okay, just a little cut on my lip but I'll live"

Nathaniel smiles widely and she smiles back, by this time Olivia and Adams were watching them, they couldn't fathom what they were doing.

"Is she going crazy or what?" Olivia thinks to herself, cheering for Adam, certain

he would win.

Averting her eyes, Alexandra locks eyes with Olivia who didn't fail to show her

contempt. She had hoped Alexandra get knocked out in the first round but was shocked when she saw her in the semi-finals.

Olivia smiles but Alexandra's face remains stoic, deep down she was aware that

Olivia's smile was like death and she had no use returning such a gesture. It was Adam she was rooting for and not her so they had nothing in common. Seeing Alexandra still staring at Olivia while the fight has begun, Nathaniel tenses up.

"Focus Alexandra" He yells and Alexandra looks forward, seeing a female pack of werewolves swing a blow towards her and she dodges it, jumping up and kicking the pack member on the neck knocking her out and she leaves. Fighting the other werewolves, Adam and Alexandra stood alone in the ring staring at each other. They smile, Adam had not realized it will get down to this but Alexandra knew it will be the both of them facing each other in the final.

"So it boils down to us" He states and Alexandra nods.

"Figured it out" Alexandra whispers exhaling deeply, a bit exhausted, she glances

at the crowd who were cheering.

The referee blows his whistle and it was time for them to take a little break. As

Alexandra tries to get down, she locks eyes with Adam for the second time. "Break a leg, Alpha" She states

"See you on the other side" Adam smiles widely stepping out of the ring and Alexandra drops her gaze, her eyes darken as she walks out of the ring, a sinister smile dances on her lips but no one saw this.
