Chapter 461 Apologizing in Person
Sophia glared at him angrily and went to check out with her items.
Alexander grabbed another box of ginger tea from the shelf and caught up with her.
"Is your stomach hurting? Drink some of this when we get back."
He tossed the item into Sophia's shopping cart.
After checking out, Sophia was about to leave when she heard someone shout, "I heard Sophia lives in this neighborhood. Someone just saw her enter this supermarket."
"Where? I really want to see her in person. Everyone says she's even more beautiful than on TV."
Seeing two fans with their phones out searching for Sophia, Alexander quickly pulled Sophia's head into his arms and covered it with his jacket.
In a low, hoarse voice, Alexander said, "If you don't want to be photographed, stay still."
Sophia struggled and said, "Are you trying to get me killed? Your face probably attracts more attention than mine. Seeing someone in your arms will make people even more suspicious."
"Don't worry, I have equipment."
With that, Alexander took out a mask and sunglasses from his pocket and put them on.
He gently patted Sophia's head and said, "As a suitor of a big star, I have basic etiquette. This way, no one will recognize us. Let's go."
He held Sophia in his arms, covering her head with his jacket.
The two of them walked into the neighborhood like that.
After a long time, Sophia finally emerged from Alexander's jacket and glanced behind her.
Seeing no one, she immediately stepped out of Alexander's arms.
Sophia walked ahead with her items.
Alexander chuckled lightly in exasperation, "Is this how you burn bridges after crossing them? I helped you out, and you didn't even thank me. Why are you glaring at me?"
Without turning her head, Sophia said, "Thank you. You can go back now."
"Why should I go back? This is my home."
Sophia immediately stopped in her tracks, her eyes cold as she looked at him, "Alexander, how many times do I have to tell you for you to believe that we're over? No matter how much you pester me, my home will never be yours. Give up already."
Alexander gave a roguish smile, tapped her head, and pointed to a villa behind them, "But my home will eventually become yours. I bought the house next to yours. Want to come in and see if you like the furniture?"
Hearing this, Sophia stared intently at the villa next to hers.
She remembered seeing someone moving in a few days ago, but she didn't expect it to be Alexander.
She bit her lip in anger, "I'm not interested."
With that, she turned and walked into her own yard.
Watching her back, Alexander smirked, "See you tonight, Sophia."
Back home, Sophia took a hot shower and, without drying her hair, sat on the balcony looking at the lake behind her house.
The lake was decorated with many beautiful lights, reflecting on the water like fallen stars.
A couple was walking by the lake with their child, followed by a small dog.
They looked very happy.
Sophia was touched by this happy scene and thought that Joyce and Sebastian's family of three must be like this.
She made herself a cup of ginger tea and stood by the floor-to-ceiling window, looking at the night view outside.
As she turned her head, she saw a pair of eyes staring at her from the villa next door. Alexander, in black silk pajamas, was leaning against the window, a cigarette between his fingers and a glass of red wine in his other hand, casually swirling it.
He looked roguish and charming.

He raised his glass to Sophia, a smile playing on his lips.
Sophia glared at him angrily and was about to turn back inside when her phone buzzed with a message.
[Ginger tea works best when hot. I also bought you fish oil and vitamin E supplements from the pharmacy. I'll bring them over later. Take them.]
Sophia immediately replied, [No need, I have some here. I'm going to sleep.]
Alexander: [I ordered delivery. It will arrive in five minutes. Be good and dry your hair before sleeping, or your stomach will hurt more.]
Sophia: [None of your business.]
Alexander: [If you don't listen, I'll come over and dry your hair myself. Do you believe me?]
Of course, Sophia believed him.
Alexander was shameless and capable of anything.
She quickly drank the ginger tea and then used a hairdryer to dry her hair.
Alexander sent another message with a smile, [Good girl, Sophie is cuter when she listens.]
Sophia ignored him and went downstairs to get the delivery.
Just as she came back inside, Dean came out of his room and said, "Sophia, Gilbert called earlier. He said he's bringing Daisy over tomorrow to apologize to you. Do you have time?"
Sophia frowned, "Did you agree?"
"No, I had to ask for your opinion first. You're my granddaughter, so your wishes come first."
"Then let them come. I don't want this to affect your relationship with Mr. Cross." Dean spoke into the phone, "Gilbert, did you hear that? Sophia is very understanding."

"Don't call me that. We have no relationship now. Your grandson Alexander personally broke off the engagement. I'm only giving you a chance out of respect for you." "Alright, alright, I understand. We haven't seen each other in a long time. Let's play a few games of chess tomorrow."
"Bring it on. I'm not afraid of you. You'll never beat me."
The next day.
Early in the morning, Sophia was woken up by laughter.
She groggily woke up from her sleep.
Just as she was about to get out of bed, her phone buzzed with a message from Alexander.
[Are you awake? My grandpa is bringing Daisy over to apologize to you. I'm coming
along to make sure they don't bully you.]
Sophia got herself ready and went downstairs.
She immediately saw Daisy sitting next to Alexander, looking at him with deep
affection.
Sophia suddenly felt very uncomfortable.noveldrama
She always felt that Daisy's gaze towards Alexander was off, not like a sister looking at
her brother.
It was more like she was looking at someone she loved.
Thinking about this, Sophia suddenly had a strange thought.
Could Daisy be targeting her because she likes Alexander?
If that's true, it's terrifying.
She had heard of cases where mothers, after their sons got married, still wanted to
sleep with them and even harbored murderous intentions towards their daughters-in-
law.
Thinking of this, Sophia couldn't help but shiver.
What do you think?
