Unforgettable love

Chapter 815

Chapter 815:

Since Armand hadn’t been home for a while, Elizabeth sent someone to follow him to discover his residence. She came to visit him knowing that Theresa’s IVF attempt had failed for the second time.

Dolores froze in the doorway, giving a stern look as she learned of Elizabeth’s intention.

Armand came out of the living area and greeted Dolores as he saw her standing in the doorway.

Dolores turned, as did Elizabeth and Dora.

“Armand!” called Elizabeth, slightly displeased.

Armand’s face stiffened as he realized they were there. He glanced at Dolores, thinking she had brought them here.

“I saw them at the main entrance,” Dolores explained.

“Building number three, sixth floor, room 603. Please go in first, I’ll be up in a little while,” Armand said.

“Speak nicely.” Dolores nodded.

Dolores responded with a nod and walked away. “Grandma…”

“Why won’t you let me in?” Elizabeth interrupted sternly, “I’ll file a police report saying you refuse to take care of me if you don’t let me in today.”

Armand clenched his fists at that. “What do you want!” Armand almost shouted.

“You throw me aside, you won’t even let me in your house, what do you think you’re doing?” Elizabeth shouted suddenly knowing that there was a security guard nearby and people walking around. “I have given my whole life to raise you, now that I am too old, you leave me alone at home without a care in the world.”

People are naturally drawn to gossip. Security glanced in their direction as people began to gather around, watching them. Dolores, who was not far away, turned to Armand, “Let her in.” Armand didn’t move an inch.

Dolores looked at him, “You have to solve this sooner or later, how long do you plan to avoid it? Do you want Theresa to keep hiding in the future? To stay hidden forever?”.

Armand understood that this was not a long-term solution, however, there was no other way now. He did not want to cause harm to either party.

He looked at Elizabeth, “I’ll let you in, but you mustn’t throw tantrums at the others. Leaving home was my idea, don’t blame it on others.”

Elizabeth stared at Armand for a while and said, “…. Okay.”

Armand turned around with his back to Elizabeth and said, “Let’s go.”

“Have you come to visit Theresa?” asked Elizabeth to Dolores.

Dolores nodded, “She’s not very well, so I’ve come to visit her.”

“Very well. You must advise her and make her understand that Armand is the only male in the Bernie Family, she needs to produce an heir for the family,” Elizabeth told Dolores.

Dolores remained silent until they got on the elevator as Armand led the way ahead. They reached the door.

Theresa got off the bed and waited for Dolores on the couch. She looked toward the door as she heard it open to greet Dolores, but was stunned when she saw the figures following her.

She rose from the couch, looking pale.

Dolores walked over to her and held her arm, “Now you’re weak, sit down.” Theresa clung to Dolores’ arm nervously.

Dolores patted her back, smiling. “Armand and I are here, there’s nothing to worry about. Let’s take this opportunity to fix everything.” Theresa looked her in the eyes and nodded.

The room was silent for some time before Elizabeth broke the ice. “How are you, Dolores? I hear you have given birth to another son, what a blessing it is.”

There was a hidden meaning behind her words, as if she intended to tell Theresa that Dolores had been blessed with three children while she had none.

Dolores smiled kindly, “Blessing? People were scolding me behind my back, saying I had two children out of wedlock when I was raising them alone. They even called me a slut.”

“That’s history,” Elizabeth said.

“True, it’s all stories, but the memories stayed,” Dolores replied.

“Theresa.” Elizabeth turned and looked at Theresa. Her gaze caused her to stiffen and call out, “Grandma.”

“Why didn’t you tell me you had revisited the hospital?” she asked in a tone half complaining and half concerned. “You look thinner.” Theresa looked down slowly.

Armand pulled out a jacket and put it on Theresa. Then he looked at Elizabeth, “Theresa has suffered so much because of me. Her body is too weak and I will no longer consider having a child.”

“You won’t think about it or is it because Theresa’s egg is useless?” Elizabeth visited knowing Theresa’s condition. She couldn’t accept it and hearing of Armand’s intention to resign made her lose her cool. “You’re not going to consider it? You think this is your business?” she added, “This isn’t something you can decide on your own!”

“What do you plan to do?” asked Dolores as she reached for Theresa’s hand and placed it in her own. She wanted to give her a hand of support and make her feel safe.

Elizabeth spoke up after a moment, “If your egg is not fertile, find a donor or look for a surrogate. There are plenty of women willing to do that for money.”noveldrama
