Unforgettable love

Chapter 819

Chapter 819:

Dolores’ heart clenched as she wondered if she had really brought the divorce papers. She asked quietly, “What’s this?”

Armand pulled a luggage bag out of the back of the car, walked over to her and said, “It’s all Theresa’s things.”

Dolores, looking at the bag in his hand, didn’t immediately take it as she asked, “What’s this all about?”

“Wherever she chooses to live, whether it’s here or back in C-Town, anywhere would be better than living with me. If she’s thought this through, if she really wants to? Divorce, I will have no qualms with her.” Armand said as he lowered his gaze, hiding his emotions and added, “Thank you.”

Dolores replied, “I see. That’s not exactly a bad thing. You should think long and hard about it after you’ve calmed down. Although Mrs. Bernie is really a problem and you both won’t be happy anyway if she handles herself badly.”

“I understand. She’s the one who raised me, I can’t ignore her. Theresa…I’m so indebted to her…” She couldn’t even begin to settle her debt.

Dolores knew Armand was feeling bad. He didn’t answer as he carried the luggage back to the house.

She opened Theresa’s door and saw that she was sitting alone on the balcony. Theresa was acting as if she was the only person left in the world.

Dolores approached her slowly, as Theresa was deep in thought about something and didn’t realize that someone had entered her room.

“Theresa,” Dolores called to her in a low voice.

She turned slowly as Dolores smiled and said, “What are you thinking about?”

“A few things.” She caught sight of the luggage bag in Dolores’ hands and asked, “Is this…?”

“Umm…”

Dolores sat her on the bed and told her all about Armand’s visit. “He said he will follow whatever you wish.”

Theresa lowered her head, eyelashes twitching as she continued to stare at the bag, “So, all my things are inside that bag, along with the divorce papers?”

“Theresa…”

“I’m fine, it’s not exactly a bad thing.” She got up and picked up the bag, opened it and saw that it did indeed contain her belongings. On top of the pile was a sealed document bag.

Theresa thought the bag contained divorce papers, as she hesitantly picked it up. In between all that, her eyes began to water.

In the imagination, many things seemed much more manageable than they really were. However, when one is confronted with reality, their value vanishes as if by magic.

Fortunately, Theresa quickly pulled herself together and grabbed the bag of documents. She opened the bag and searched its contents.

She figured the papers inside would have the words [Divorce Agreement] taped to the top. He was wrong when he realized that the contents of the bag were all of Armand’s savings. She was even more mistaken when she realized that it was not only his savings, but also contained all of his assets, his savings, and the deeds to his property.

Theresa’s eyebrows rose in confusion.

Meanwhile, Dolores slipped out of the room, closing the door on the way.

Now alone, Theresa pulled everything out of the document bag, which contained deeds, a bank card and purchased funds.

Ding dong-

Her phone rang on the nightstand next to her bed. He got up and glanced at the phone, which showed [Armand] and opened his message.

[Theresa, I have saved all my money on this card, the password on it is our engagement date. Some of it can’t be withdrawn yet, but in time, you will be able to withdraw it and use it. Also, here are all my goods, I will give them to you. I am too indebted to you, this is the least I can do, to give you enough money to live carefree…. I will give you some time, you can go wherever you want to live. Once you’ve thought everything through…I’ll give you freedom, to find the love that really belongs to you. As much as I miss you, I’m still unable to give you love. So I’ll let you go, I can’t let you wither away by my side. I’ll be waiting for you].

Theresa’s fingers holding the phone weakened as she fell onto the bed. Looking through a curtain of tears at the things Armand was leaving her, she sobbed and said to herself, “Are there two people in this world who love each other, who think of each other, who miss each other, but are not by each other’s side?”

Her tears flowed unabashedly down her cheeks.

She wiped her tears and replied, [I have received the things you sent me, I will gladly accept them. You are a lawyer, you should take care of the divorce settlement. I will visit you when I feel better].

She understood the meaning of his actions. If he felt that doing so would make her feel better, she should not stop him.

At that moment, Armand was at the place where the two of them lived together for a month. Although that time was short, it was the happiest time of their lives.noveldrama

She glanced around the kitchen, a very familiar place, as if remembering the days when they were together. Armand was cooking, with Theresa at his side eating apples, sometimes even popping one in her mouth. Sometimes she would hug him from behind and ask him what he was cooking.

Theresa’s smiles were more relaxed and they were comfortable with each other.

Armand moved back and forth. The bedroom balcony was still the same as when they moved in, however, the woman sitting in the hammock playing with the fish in the aquarium was long gone.

The slender figure had also disappeared from the bed.

The place remained unchanged, it was its residents who had changed.

The whole place felt empty, as did his heart.

Armand returned to the living room and sat down on the couch. He remembered the times when Theresa was there watching television.

All the memories came back to his mind like an endless movie theater.

The phone in his pocket vibrated. Pulling it out, he saw it was a message from Theresa and opened it.

As he finished reading her message, he felt even more depressed than before.

He took a long time before replying: [Okay.]
