Chapter 822 We Don't Owe Her Anything

The restaurant suddenly fell silent. Theodore's face was as cold as ice, and he stared at

her sharply. "Madison, no one in the Reynolds family has wronged you."

Madison felt wronged. She could sense that ever since Grace joined the family, everyone had been tiptoeing around her.

The more careful they were, the more it showed that she was an outsider.

She felt very uneasy, afraid that one day the Reynolds family would no longer want her.

So she desperately sought a way out for herself. If she once admired Edward, now Edward was her way out.

Theodore's words ignited the grievances and anger she had accumulated over three years.

"Yes, no one in the Reynolds family has wronged me. But Theodore, you don't have to take your anger out on me. It's not my fault you're upset," Madison said angrily.

Theodore's brows furrowed tightly. "Are you out of your mind?"

She gritted her teeth. "Yes, maybe I am out of my mind. Theodore, I know you're upset because of Phoebe. So what if she had triplets with someone else? If you want to be their father, go marry her. What's the point of being angry at me?"

Before she could finish her sentence, Christopher, who was sitting next to her, slapped her across the face. The restaurant fell silent again.

Everyone stared blankly at the scene, Madison's defiant words still echoing in their ears. They all turned to look at Theodore.

Being exposed by Madison in public, Theodore's face turned grim. He stared at Madison. "Who told you? Edward?"

Madison covered her numb face, tasting blood in her mouth. She gritted her teeth. "If she doesn't want people to know, don't do it."

Madison absolutely did not want to see Phoebe rejoin the Reynolds family. If she and Edward got married, they would have to see each other often.

As long as Edward couldn't let go of Phoebe, she would never be able to truly enter his heart.

To make him not like Phoebe, they couldn't see each other often.

Theodore slammed the table. "Madison!"

Seeing that the dinner was about to turn into a mess, Brandon spoke up in time. "Enough, if you keep arguing, how are we supposed to eat?"

Taylor quickly pulled Theodore's sleeve and then got up to walk over to Madison, trying to persuade her. "Madison, sit down. Riley, bring some ice and a towel for Madison. Christopher, why have you been so irritable lately?"

Christopher remained silent.

Taylor patted him. "Apologize to Madison. Quick. How could you hit her?"

Christopher had been increasingly annoyed with Madison's growing arrogance over the past two years. She would act out regardless of the occasion, embarrassing the family. He had long held a grudge against her.

Especially since she always targeted Grace, and in the end, no one would reprimand her. Instead, Grace would end up apologizing to her. He couldn't tolerate it anymore. Tonight, she had started with the sarcasm, so he couldn't hold back and exploded.noveldrama

He said coldly, "It's because you all spoil her that she's become so arrogant. Mom, our family doesn't owe her anything."

As soon as he said this, everyone's faces changed, and Madison's face turned pale.

The facade of peace that had been maintained for three years was suddenly shattered by Christopher. Even the usually silent Grace was slightly surprised.

She looked at Madison, then at the stubborn Christopher who refused to apologize, thinking that the family was really tearing itself apart.

Madison gritted her teeth. "Yes, you're right. You all don't owe me anything. I owe you." With that, she pushed over her chair and ran out of the villa.

Taylor called after her a few times but couldn't stop her. Seeing her run out, she quickly turned back. "Riley, go after her. It's so late; we don't want anything to happen." Riley quickly ran out.

The living room fell silent again. Taylor picked up the chair that had fallen to the ground and sat next to Christopher. "What's wrong with you today? Who made you angry?"

Christopher couldn't ignore Taylor, so he said, "No one made me angry. I'm just tired of everyone pampering her, making her more and more arrogant and willful. Doesn't she know what kind of person Edward is? Why bring him home?"

Edward had always been a troublemaker in Theodore and Phoebe's marriage. If it weren't for him, they wouldn't have divorced, and Theodore wouldn't be so miserable

now.

Yet Madison was still clueless and wanted to bring Edward home. Who knew what Edward was up to?

"Christopher!" Taylor said sternly. "Madison has a simple personality, you know that. She's liked Edward for so many years. If Edward responds to her feelings, of course, she's happy and eager to bring him home to meet us. It's fine if you have reservations about Edward, but you can't hit her."

"She knows why I hit her. Enough, I'm going upstairs." Christopher got up and walked out of the dining room.

Taylor turned to see Theodore eating by himself.

She moved over and sat next to Theodore, carefully observing his expression. "Theodore, about what Madison just said..."

She was actually most concerned about Phoebe having triplets. Previously, it was said that she couldn't have children. How could she have triplets after divorcing Theodore?

Theodore lost his appetite. He put his utensils back on the table and said coldly, "I'm full. I'm going upstairs."

"Theodore!" Taylor stood up, watching Theodore walk out of the dining room without looking back. She was very angry.

She sat back down and glared at Brandon, who was still eating as if nothing had happened. "How can you still eat? Look at the mess in this house."

"They've been holding it in for so long; they needed to let off some steam," Brandon replied nonchalantly. "Don't worry about it. Just eat. Riley made a great dish tonight. You should try it."

Brandon put some food in Taylor's bowl and continued eating as if nothing had happened.

Taylor looked at Grace, the only one who hadn't left the table, and remembered Madison's rebellious and resentful look. She felt a chill in her heart.

Looking at Grace, she seemed to remember that Grace was her biological daughter. She said, "Grace, don't let them affect you. Eat."

Grace took a napkin and wiped her mouth. "Dad, Mom, I have something to do tomorrow. I can't eat much. I'm going upstairs too."

Grace got up and left, leaving only two people in the dining room.
