Chapter 1195
Chapter 1195:
“I’m not sure about her current situation, but I know you’re out of options. I helped you get involved with the Roseair project, so you owe me one,” Phoebe said, sitting across from Eileen in her office, her legs crossed.noveldrama
The developer of the Roseair project was well-connected with the Meyer family. This had presented a unique opportunity for Eileen to bend the rules and leverage those connections to handle the Deleon Group, and Phoebe had agreed to help.
Phoebe massaged her waist, exhausted from convincing Jacob to help her. “Treat you to a meal soon,” Eileen said, raising an eyebrow as she looked at Phoebe. Phoebe’s expression suggested she expected much more in return. And sure enough…
Phoebe slammed her hand on the desk and stood up, demanding, “You think a meal is enough?”
“What else can I offer you?” Eileen shrugged.
“You’ve picked up some bad habits from Bryan!” Phoebe scoffed. “Before, you would have been thankful for my help, but now you’ve learned to manipulate and take advantage of me in all sorts of ways!”
Eileen pondered this. She didn’t see it that way, but Bryan did fit Phoebe’s description. Bryan could be quite demanding—even regarding their sex life.
“Just tell me. What do you want me to do for you?” Eileen stood, walked around the desk, and leaned against it. She realized that Phoebe needed her assistance, yet Phoebe had expected her to voluntarily offer help.
As her motives became apparent, Phoebe said awkwardly, “Your perception is keener than others. Jacob mentioned he has a class reunion the day after tomorrow, but I don’t believe him. Could you check with Bryan about it?”

Eileen was stunned for a moment. “What’s the matter? Did he cheat on you?”
Suddenly, Eileen’s mind raced with all the possibilities about what Phoebe might have discovered on Jacob to make her distrust him.
“No concrete evidence,” Phoebe admitted. “He’s just been secretive with his phone calls lately. Nothing else is out of the ordinary.”
“Alright, I’ll give Bryan a call and ask him about this.” Eileen then turned, pulled out her phone, and dialed Bryan. Raymond picked up the call.
“Mr. Dawson is currently at the Apex Group for a video conference. How may I assist you?” Raymond whispered, while Bryan’s deep voice could be faintly heard in the background.
Eileen got straight to the point. “Does Bryan have any plans for the day after tomorrow? There’s supposed to be a class reunion.”
“He will be in meetings all day the day after tomorrow,” Raymond quickly interrupted, realizing what day it was. “Mr. Dawson has instructed me to clear his schedule for that day.”
“I just wanted to know if he’s attending the class reunion,” Eileen said, glancing at Phoebe.
Raymond hadn’t heard anything about a class reunion from Bryan, so he responded, “I’m not aware of any class reunion. Where did you get that information?”
Before Eileen could inquire further, Phoebe stood up, rolled up her sleeves, and made a move to leave. “That’s fine. Goodbye!”
Eileen quickly ended the call and blocked Phoebe’s path. “What are you doing?”
