The Rebirth of the Betrayed Alpha

Turning around on the bed, the alarm blares and Alexandra stretches her slim body and the cold breeze sinks through her body. Glancing at the wall clock, a smile creeps on her lips and she stands up.

"Today's going to be a good day" she mutters striding towards the mirror, and stares down at her reflection, and the smile fades on her face. Despite ending Veronica's life, Alexandra still wasn't happy, if there was a way to wake her up and kill her every single day, Alexandra was going to do it just to make up for all she passed through. As memories of Veronica flood her mind, she quickly throws a hard punch against the mirror causing it to shatter, and cutting her Knuckles.

"Epic" she whispers, a stern look on her face turns around while walking into her bathroom.

She turns on the shower letting the water pour down on her skin, Nathaniel's face runs through her mind causing her to smile. Realizing how far they have come, Alexandra runs her hand through her hair, biting her lower lips. She couldn't get over the fact that Nathaniel saved her, his words lingers in her head.

"My Nathaniel," she says, her eyes filled with a lot of emotions, she hears his voice whispering in her head that she was his and his alone. Those words may be deep and slightly made her scared but they will forever be glued to her heart and soul, it was the perfect description that he would swim over rivers and oceans, just to be with her and save her.

"From the day I met you, you stirred something in me, my wolf and until this very day you keep stirring up strange feelings, it may not be love but I know is special and a sign that you and you alone are my true mate, Nathaniel"

Turning off the showers, she puts on her robe and steps out imagining Nathaniel sitting on her bed staring at her, the way he use to.

"Come sit with me Alexandra" He smiles and she moves her feet towards him.

"What are you doing here?"

"You sent for me"

"I did right?" She teases him, laughing and he laughs as well, running his hand through her wet hair.

"Is wet"

"I just had a shower"

"What if you had imagined in the shower with you"

"Don't be naughty" she fans her face as it turns red

"I guess you liked it since your face just turned red"

Alexandra stops fanning. "It didn't"

"How are you holding up in this house?"

"I slept like a baby"

"I can imagine" he smiles, never getting tired of staring at her, she was so beautiful and everything he has ever dreamed of. "Thank you for saving me"

"Nathaniel saved you, just his imagination"

"And I thanked him too"

"You don't have to thank me, I'm alright knowing you are happy and he is by your side"

"He is, I just want to be happy today and tomorrow-"

"Think about the rest" Nathaniel states quickly "Veronica is out of the way now but you still have Bernard, Olivia, and Adam to contend with"

"I'm not scared of them" she stands up, folding her arms wondering when this will all be over and she will never have to see their faces ever again.

"I know, you are Alexandra Guerrero, Alpha of the Guerrero pack. You horrifyingly slayed Veronica, so you can take them on"

"They must be plotting something don't you think?" Alexandra placed back and forwards massaging her temples, she couldn't shake off the feeling ever since she couldn't find Olivia.

"Is Olivia Guerrero, she's always plotting"

"I wonder what it is" she hisses, turning to him

"Hey relax" Nathaniel stands up "Whatever it is, I'm sure you will figure it out, andnoveldrama

the most important thing is that Nathaniel will be by your side"

"What if he leaves me after seeing the other side of me?"

Nathaniel holds her cheek. "He will never leave you, you already know you are his mate"

"Is been his mate just enough?"

"He likes you"

"What if he starts to see me differently, you saw what I did to Veronica, I would promise that I won't do the same or worse to those three. They ruined my life"

"And he understands, he's not a fool. Nathaniel already knows the type of relationship you have with your family"

"And he is okay with what I did?"

"You are his mate so yes"

"Was I ruthless with Veronica"

"She would have done the same or even worse"

"Yea but I stabbed her in the eyes"

Nathaniel chuckles. "Is already done Alexandra, you can only think of the other

three and figure out how to eliminate them for good"

"Olivia must have known her mother is dead which is why she went M.I.A"

"If she ran away, where would she run to?"

"To Adam Hawthorn's house, that is the only place I know she would get a companion to plot her evil deed together

"Who among them has the brain?"

"Adam of course" Olivia having a brain wouldn't be in this lifetime, although she was a beta, Olivia lacked in many and could only rise and climb the ladder because of her parents and Adam.

"Adam has a plotting, twisted and wicked mind whereas Olivia is just a sly fox who warms his bed"

"Wow! You know them" Nathaniel states amazed

Alexandra smiles, attempting to say something when the doorbell blares through the house.

"Expecting a visitor?" He asks

"None except Nathaniel but he shouldn't be here until evening"

A sly smile plays on Nathaniel's lips. ", He must have taken the early drive to surprise you, maybe he plans you somewhere special"

The thought of going out with Nathaniel excites her and she quickly rushes out the door, running down the stairs into the living room, yanks the door wide open bumps into Adam Hawthorn, standing by the doorstep, looking charming, his hands buried his pocket as he locks eyes with Alexandra. The smile quickly fades from her face.

"Adam"

"In the flesh" he smiles. "Don't tell me, you are happy to see me"

She quickly forces a smile. "Of course, I'm happy to see you"

"Really?"

"Yea"

"Why are you still standing by the door then?"

Without uttering another word, Alexandra steps out of the way and he enters, she shuts the door, meeting his eyes.

"What...what are you doing here?"

"What do you mean? I came to see you, besides we haven't seen that day" He whispers the latter hating to be reminded of that day, it was his red letter day and it was written in red.

"Why do you want to see me?"

"Come on Alexandra is been a while and I haven't even said congratulations" "Congratulations?" She mutters, feeling a bit strange. If anything Alexandra was aware of the kind of man Adam Hawthorn was, he was a prideful man and she bruised his ego, he would never congratulate her except if he had something up his sleeve but Alexandra just doesn't know what.

"Yes congratulations on becoming the Alpha of the Guerrero pack, you are really what the people want"

"I don't get you"

"All over the city people are talking about you and that made me realize that you

are the only one who is fit to be the Alpha. You are the only one who can lead our pack to places and I'm glad you won't"

"What are you saying?" Alexandra asks because she couldn't make out what he was rambling about.

"What am saying is that I want to be next to you"

"Next to me?" She raises her brow confused

"Yes Alexandra, let me be next to you"

"You are already next to me"

"No Alexandra you don't understand"

"Then make me, you are already my friend and pack member that make you be

next to me"

"That's not what I mean, I want more"

"How?"

"I'm willing to give up my Alpha position. No. I'm going to give up my Alpha

position"

"Give up your Alpha position"

"Yes Alexandra"

"Why?"

"Because I want to get together with you"

Alexandra's eyes widened. "You want to get together with me"

"Yes Alexandra, when I close my eyes all I see you and these past days have been worse. I can't eat, can't sleep, can't even breathe because all I think about is you. I'm willing to give it all up just to get back together with you, to be by your side, next to you every single moment"

Hearing those familiar words, Alexandra observes the man standing in front of her professing the same hypocritical words he told her in the past and she had been a fool, believing every single one of them, letting her guard down, and in the end, ended up dead.

"What are you saying?" She turns around, holding the urge to snap his neck. Adam was insane to think she would buy his act, he may not have noticed but Alexandra never let her guard down, and if anything she was always calculative and smart.

"Please give me a chance Alexandra" He turns her around, licking his lips, his soft eyes burn through her skin, and Alexandra clutches against her robe, holding the

urge to roll her eyes.

"But I...I -"

"Shhhh" He puts his index finger on her lips and she feels the urge to bite his

fingers off "There is no but"

"I don't know what you say"

"Just say yes"

"A lot has happened Adam"

"I know but think about it Alexandra we have known each other for a long and

there's a lot between, a lot no one knows"

"This is too sudden"

"I can't bear to be apart from you anymore"

"Really?"

"My willingness to give up what I desire the most is proof that I want to be

together"

Alexandra stares deep into his eyes, she couldn't imagine what was running through his mind.

"What do you desire the most?"

"You already know is to be the Alpha but you are more important to me Alexandra

and you know it"

"This is too much for me, just give me a moment" without waiting to hear his response, Alexandra runs upstairs into her bedroom, slammed the door, picks up a piece of mirror on the ground, and stares at the reflection of herself. She couldn't bring herself to scold them for believing Adams's words, it was clear he was just making a fool out of her yet she was too lost by his Luna that she turned a blind eye to the truth even when it was staring right at her.

Hating the weak little girl in the past, Alexandra throws the glass against the wall

and it shatters, memories jump into her mind.

"Adam must think I'm a fool"

She couldn't believe Adam would dare use such wicked schemes on her again

after all these years. Her foolishness in the past cost her a lot and she paid dearly with her life.

"How dare you, Adam Hawthorn?" She clenches her jaw, this was the height of it,

the audacity of him to come to her house and try to turn him into the same foolish

girl she was in the past
