The Rebirth of the Betrayed Alpha

Adam Hawthorn sits in the living room, his heart beating fast, he was aware he

was working according to the plan he and Olivia had stayed up all night working on, going over it for a long to make certain Alexandra would be moved by their lies and eventually let him into her life. Glancing at his wristwatch, he exhales aware that he had played his part perfectly and Alexandra was definitely going to believe the words he said but little did he know that the woman he was speaking to wasn't the same girl he knew in the past.

Alexandra was aware he was deceitful and scheming so there was no way she was going to let him make a fool of her, at least not anymore.

Catching a glimpse of Alexandra walking down the stairs majestically, his eyes light up and he stands up.

"Alexandra"

"Adam"

"Are you alright?" He pretends to be concerned

"Yes, just had a little headache" Alexandra massages her temple feigning to be in pain.

"I'm sorry" he leads her to the couch

"Is alright"

"Should I get you anything?"

"I'm okay"

"What about water or food"

Alexandra looks into his eyes. "Is alright, what matters is that you are here"

Adams's face lit up, he couldn't be happier knowing that his plan was falling into place, and sooner, he would be able to separate her from Nathaniel's side and then deal with her. He was going to give her a taste of her own medicine together with Olivia.

"Really?"

"Yes Adam, thank you"

"Should I leave?"

"No Adam, please stay, you said you wanted to right?"

"Yes Alexandra I will want to stay close to you"

"How close?" Alexandra looks at him

"Very close, you are more important to me than anything, I can live without being an Alpha but I can't live without you"

"Adam" she whispers.

"That's the truth"

"Your words, I don't know what to say" he runs his index finger on her face

"Say you want to be with me too"

Alexandra smiles. "Of course" she nods affirmatively "Yes I want to be with you, I want to be together with you as well"noveldrama

"Alexandra" a lot of emotions run through his eyes

"Yes"

"You just made me the happiest person on earth"

"I will love to make you the happiest person every day" she states pretending to be moved.

Falling for his words the second time would mean her death, and Alexandra wasn't going to let it happen. Although she wasn't sure what he was plotting, she knew he was up to no good and if she needed to trap him in his own game, she needed to play along as well.

Adam was playing a dangerous game and so was Alexandra, but she could be ahead of him if she gets closer to him while playing the game he had designed with Olivia. Alexandra was willing to go the extra mile just to make sure she puts an end to them and their all deceitful ways.

"What are you saying?" He asks.

"I don't know how to say it?" She states pretending to be a little shy

"Just say it"

"Promise me you will say yes"

"What is it, Alexandra?"

"Didn't you say you are going to give up your position?"

"Yes Alexandra, I am"

"We will be together right?"

"Of course my love" He states with a strong emotion

As the words left his mouth, Alexandra felt an urge to throw up, hearing him address her with such strong emotion running through his eyes made her feel livid, truly disgusted at him. But Alexandra wouldn't dare let him know that, for she wanted to get close to him, get under his skin that way she could break him in the most horrifying manner just as he did to her.

"Your love?" She smiles widely, flashing her white teeth.

"Yes you are my love"

Nodding her head affirmatively, Alexandra imagines what Nathaniel would do to him if he heard him right now. Without a doubt, Alexandra was certain he would first beat him to a pup before killing him for daring to call her his own.

"You are my love" He states again and she nods, feeling her chin sting from putting on a fake smile for too long.

Nathaniel's face runs through her mind and she remembers his words, those sweet yet scary words that made her heart fluster.

"You are mine Alexandra Guerrero" Nathaniel's words echo in her head causing her heart to squeeze in a manner she couldn't understand.

"Am I doing something wrong?" She thinks to herself but on a second thought pushes the feeling aside. Her revenge meant a lot to her more than any other thing and Alexandra wasn't going to give it up. Even though Nathaniel was her mate and had claimed her in a manner no other man has not even Adam Hawthorn, Alexandra still couldn't let go, it came first, always and forever until Olivia, Adam, and Bernard felt her wrath.

The anger burns inside her seeing how close her body was to Adam, she pretends to be sweating, taking his hands off her smooth face.

"Are you sure of what you are saying?"

"Yes Alexandra"

"Now tell me what you wanted to say"

"Yes, I'm lost"

"In my eyes" He teases

"A little" she pours

"A lot" Adam laughs never imagining it would be so easy to get close to her. "I want to take you somewhere"

"Where?"

"Somewhere you will love"

Raising her brow, Alexandra couldn't imagine his next move but she wasn't scared, she was going to play this game until the very end.

"Let's go"

"Are you sure?"

"Yes I don't care where it is as long as we will be together"

Without having to say another word, Adam holds her hand while still staring into her eyes, they walk out towards the door and Alexandra's eyes fall on Nathaniel's jacket he had forgotten the last time he visited. She had washed and ironed it while waiting on him to come to pick it up in the evening. Remembering the appointment she had with Nathaniel, Alexandra halts and Adam looks at her.

"What's wrong?"

"Nothing" she smiles but it didn't reach her eyes.

"Tell me what's wrong Alexandra"

"Will we be back before the evening?"

"Of course, I'm taking you to the place where we first met"

Without saying another word, Alexandra wasn't sure if she could continue playing

this game anymore for Adam was plotting something Wicked.

"I promise we will be back before you know it"

"Can't we just stay here?"

"We could but then you will miss everything that I already planned for you"

"What's that?"

"Is a surprise, now come on let's go, I don't want for us to miss it" He states stirring her curiosity.

Alexandra pushes the thought of backing out of his mind and smiles.

"You are the best thing that ever happened to me"

Tucking a strand of hair behind her ear, Adam says. "I should be the one saying that" he caresses her cheek causing her blood to boil, but she controls herself hating for her plan to blow up in her face.

Alexandra knew she needed to thread carefully or risk exposing herself for Adam was anything like Olivia, he was smarter, deceitful and loves to win, and he couldn't bear to lose at anything. Whatever he wants he always gets and what he can't get then no one has the right to it and that was the Adam she knew. "Now I'm all excited, let's go" she tightens her arm around him and they walk out through the entrance door.
